Aaaah the Divi Visual Builder. Divi 3.0 really changed the game with it’s latest release as even more users flocked to Elegant Themes as word of it’s new frontend page builder spread. Some would argue frontend page builders are the future of web design, and certainly it’s a bit of a no-brainer that ET threw their newest product into the mix.
In today’s episode we speak to some of Divi’s power users about their experience (or lack of) with the Visual Builder – how has it changed their workflow, is it something they recommend to their clients, other topics along those lines.

I so wish you guys had closed caption so I could follow along … the sync is off just enough that I can not read your lips. Hey since the topic is the visual builder I had a dream last night the we convinced Nathan to open a little text callout box that declared what the person was selecting when they made an edit in the VB…..For example if they grabbed the space above a module and dragged an increase in the padding a little field would appear that said top padding increased 20 px … the code for this xyz and can be found here (link). In this way folks might get a little more accustomed to making a css change rather than use the VB and use it as a learning tool.
So much for sleeping lol! Be safe my friends!
Hey Steve! That’s a great idea. I will definitely look into an option to add closed caption. That’s actually not a bad idea but I think Nick and the team have a pretty full plate and this would be way down the list of priorities :). It was great finally meeting you my friend. Until we meet again!
Best,
David
On the topic of WPEngine and version control, I just want to let Tim and Sarah know that you can get version control from them, you just need to ask. They will give you up to 3 revisions. One quick call or chat session and they will set it up for you across all your installs. 3 revisions may not seem like much, but it has saved my butt several times! Most times, one revision rollback is all it takes. Love WPEngine…
