Speeding up your site, a super important issue right!? We discuss the benefits of a fast-loading site, caching, image optimization, hosting and more. Site speed is a pretty big topic we can talk about for hours for so don’t be surprised if this topic comes up again on a future episode, but we’ve tried to cover a lot of ground in our first shot. Plus we’ve got a great quickie “4 Basic Steps to Getting Started with Site Speed” guide in a handy PDF available for download here. If you want to learn more about this topic, take a look at Tim’s guide on how to speed up Divi.

I totally missed being part of the Texas crew!! Elster was a great late addition and did better anyway. 🙂
This was a great episode. Proves that you guys are talented enough with 4 or 12.
Thx Terry, you were definitely missed!!
Awesome episode! Any recommended or go to WP Rocket settings that play nicely with Divi? Can’t seem to utilize any of their minification or other more “advanced” features without visually breaking stuff in Divi.
Hi Matthew! I’m a WP Rocket user and I feel your pain! I’m often unsure about what to use in advanced settings because I’m afraid I’ll break the site too. On this site we have these settings under ‘static’ if that helps: https://divi.chat/wp-content/uploads/wp-rocket-divi-chat.png
I didn’t really touch much else besides the basic settings.
Very helpful, Leslie. Thank you for sharing that screenshot! Was coming around to the fact that anything beyond HTML minification breaks things, looks like you are only minifying HTML yourself.
Awesome episode – I got so much out of it. Finally found a place where the information is great and not overly technical. Cheers!
Thanks Andrew! We love to hear that! 😀
